Toya Owens‑Shepard, a proud Terre Haute,  Indiana native and Founder of First Impression Training Solutions, has spent more than two decades empowering professionals and transforming organizations. Based in Pearland, Texas, she is widely respected as a business leader, educator, and transformational trainer who builds confidence, strengthens leadership, and drives intentional, lasting growth.

With a B.B.A. in Marketing from Texas Southern University and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from the University of Houston, Toya blends academic excellence with over 35 years of Supply Chain Management experience across oil and gas, automotive, healthcare, and higher education. Her expertise spans leadership development & training, workforce development & training, personal brand strategy, and the art of professional presence.

Experienced as an Adjunct Professor, Toya has equipped emerging leaders with soft skills and practical tools needed to excel beyond the classroom. In her current role as Assistant Director of Procurement Services at UTHealth Houston, she designed and launched an 8‑course Professional Development Program for Supply Chain Management and a 16‑course Procure‑to‑Pay Value Chain curriculum serving more than 1,000 end‑users.

Known as “The Training Coach,” Toya captivates audiences of all sizes with her magnetic presence, delivering high‑impact training that inspires action and creates measurable behavioral change. Her work is fueled by enthusiasm, insight, and proven strategies that help professionals elevate their image, strengthen their leadership, and advance their careers with confidence.
